I spent an entire day last week on an icy farm in Snohomish with a team of some of the most creative and enthusiastic folks you’ll ever meet. We alternated between huddling over a tiny campfire (my coat still smells of wood smoke) and styling different scenes for the very talented Chantal Andrea to photograph. I can’t say too much more about it, but will let you know that my newest design partner-in-crime Sally Balt of La Happy, makeup genius Jenny Bowker and a talented chef/manager from Ravish, Luke McKinley, all played a part. Can’t wait to share the images but in the meantime, here’s a preview from Chantal.
Sorry the posts have been so sporadic lately. It has just been soooo busy around here (but it’s a great problem to have and I’m not complaining too loudly). There are some fun fall weddings and events in the blog lineup so look out for those over the next few weeks. In the meantime, I’m heading out to a farm in Snohomish tomorrow to style an editorial with an amazing creative team that Chantal of Chantal Andrea Photography put together. Grant and I were over in Spokane for Thanksgiving where I found a veritable treasure trove of vintage lovelies and I’m dying to put them into action. I hope the sun will keep on shining but I’ve already loaded up the car with wellies and rain gear just in case. This is the Pacific Northwest in November after all!
Here’s a peek at what else is going into the car…
Yes, those are sweet peas from my garden. I can’t believe they are still blooming!!
I am so thrilled to have a shoot I designed and styled featured on my favorite wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, today! Huge thanks are due to Angela and Evan Photography for stunning images, Iwona Konarski for the lovely ombre stationery, Teryl Hawk for gorgeous hair and makeup, Melanie Backschies of Plum Cushion for the beautiful coordinating pillows, Baked for the cute and delicious wedding cake, our models Caleb and Chelsea for braving the cold, and Wine and Roses for allowing us to shoot in their barn.
Check it out here and tell us what you think!
